Although it rained constantly during the two hours we sketched, this wet, intrusive weather did give us another perspective of the gardens at least. One of my drawings in particular was a collaboration with myself using ink and mother nature providing the raindrops. It turned out to be my favourite.
I love your idea of collaboration with the rain. It worked really well for you.
ReplyDeleteDear Meegan,
ReplyDeleteSo lovely, especially the first work is brilliant!
Cheers, Sadami
Had the pleasure of collaborating with the rain myself on a couple of sketches and they are favourites of mine now too. Love all three but that first one does have something special with the marks from the raindrops.
ReplyDeleteMeegan, each one of these drawings is so different and lovely. I think I like the top one best !
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying the ways in which people are expressing their rainy sketching experiences , especially Fred's splat-ism and your collaboration with the rain
I saw you sitting on the Henry Kendall Memorial Seat sketching on Saturday, Meegan. So glad somebody has noticed the lovely art deco winged horses, even though they would probably puzzle Henry greatly. Don't remember any winged horses in his bush poetry.
